A deeply personal, multimedia exploration of the complex and layered identities within each individual, Voyage invites audiences on a vulnerable journey of self-actualization. This new piece from Sarah Saturday’s multidisciplinary music practice Gardening, Not Architecture features a mix of vibrant original songs paired with innovative short films directed by filmmaker Dycee Wildman and choreography by Joi Ware. This “live visual album” delves into the shifting relationship we have with both the positive and negative parts of ourselves – many which try to protect us, but others which work to our detriment. It also serves as a sublime glimpse into the process of artistic creation, with both its joys and its hurdles, allowing the audience a safe space to find the peace within.

This special preview performance at Kindli
ng Arts Festival 2023 will be the first chance for Nashville audiences to experience the Voyage live show in its entirety before additional premiere performances at the Darkhorse from August 3-5.

Run time: 45 minutes with no intermission
