Dalikamata: The Technicolor Dream

One of the most hotly anticipated events of any Kindling Arts Festival, the lively performance art showcase brings together some of the city’s most thrilling new talents in an eclectic and bold mix of performance explorations. Rising superstar GrandmaFun uses the art of burlesque to introduce us to The Technicolor Dream Showgirl and The Sophisticated Savage, breaking apart exoticism with a humorous twist and sparkly spectacle. Emerging choreographer Gracyn Preston takes on the guise of a comedian who is confronted by a giant teddy bear the same size as her, creating a duet with the inanimate object that is both humorous and emotionally resonant. An innovative improvisational form is born in The Riddle, combining the talents of comedy improvisers Anne Veal and Carley Haggerty with movement improvisers Jasmine Clark and McKay House. This trio of engaging projects is not to be missed!
